Verity Gentile ELL Aide |
Mrs. Gentile received her
formative education in Wales in the United
Kingdom. After moving to America and
receiving her U.S. citizenship she finished
her education at Lesley University
graduating with a B.A. followed by a Masters
in Education. Mrs. G. as her students like
to call her, loves to spend time with her
two children and husband as well as two cats
and a dog. You may be surprised to learn that Mrs. G.
has participated in a triathlon and this
past June raised over $1000 for the U.S.
troops in the Boston Red Sox and MGH
sponsored Run to Home Base program. Before
coming to Oak while working at Marlborough
Public Schools she piloted a program called
‘Stuff-A-Bus’ with her colleagues that
filled the shelves of the food pantry and
continues to grow every year. Her
philosophy is, “Teaching is not just a
vocation – it is a lifestyle, and it is up
to us to teach by example.” |
